- Rank your Priorities. Each partner completes one list in private.
- Be sure to include your thoughts when you rank your priorities.
- Do not discuss or compare until both have completed.
- Identify where you match. Those are your strengths. Focus on them.
- Pick out any priorities that are switched: He has a 1 and she has a 6 for the same category OR she has 2 and he has a 5. These are important differences.
- Discuss in detail the switched or reversed priorities.
- Are you actually using your time consistent with your priorities? Do your priorities get most of you free time??
- Does your use of free time contribute to conflicts with your spouse?
- Is it time to reevaluate your use of free time?
